Yes,Ros & Paula were playing at the fair nearby AFTER the Keukenhof. The top 2 paintings are me, then Sandy, then Paula's - couldn't get in to edit this morning and had a hard time at the internet cafe last night! Windmills today! Every day is an adventure... yesterday I lost alll my brushes (Keukenhoff is as big as Disney and the line to get in was interminable with all our gear, it must have dropped there. Paula left her palette and camera behind, then dropped the canvas she was USING as a palette on our paintings, getting mulitcolored paint all over our paintings... tomorrow's another great painting day.... :)
3 of the 4 amigos on this trip, from one of the Mexican trips.
Travelling to Paint The Tulip Fields
This trip sprang from the uttered wish of our dear friend and mentor, Ros Farbush. Paula and I studied with Ros in the 90's and a few years ago decided to take Ros up on her challenge to paint with her in San Miguel, Mexico. We enjoyed ourselves so much we returned in 2006. With each visit we all became closer, and it was on a plein air painting excursion somewhere in or around Boston last year that Ros expressed her desire to paint the tulip fields in Holland. Somehow it all came together and here we are. Happily, Ros' friend Sandy, who lives in CA but spends a lot of time in San Miguel, was able to come, too. I hope you enjoy our postings!
